With last week being as big of a whirlwind as it was, I can't understand how I am sitting here on this Monday night with the pup at my feet writing this. Maybe this will get us through the week, just maybe.

What has happened:

> I made my first batch of chili, ever. And it was not what you would have imagined, IT WAS BETTER. Sure, I am bias, but it was gooood, just ask A! He had two bowls... It was a White Chicken Chili, so simple and so easy. I have been meaning to share this recipe but of course, I have been busy. Way too busy. So I promise, I will get around to it.

> I had the best Bridesmaids Bash this weekend that went off without a hitch, ha, hitch. Some of my favorite girls in the World showed up with open arms, probably knowing what was about to happen but let me do it my way. I am so blessed with the best friends, what would I do without them.

> A and I celebrated our 1 year until we are married day by eating the yummiest tacos and celebrating with our dearest friends for the night! It is unreal how quickly this engagement is passing and it's still so surreal that we are going to be walking down the isle... I will be a Hemphill so soon!

> I finished the neatest piece for our future doorway, though I can't say it was easy and I am so glad it is finished. The very natural, barn house feel is coming to life piece by piece.

> I bought 7, that's right S E V E N new nail polish colors to join my collection, some are even scented. I am ecstatic. The best money spent. I will definitely show them off in the coming weeks, I just wish you could scratch and sniff my Insta account to really get the full gist, I urge you to splurge on these Revlon finds.

What am I looking forward to:

> THE STATE FAIR OF TEXAS. It's not fair (see what I did there), that I have to wait until Friday but... I am so exited. I love the food, the Ferris Wheel, Big Tex and making memories with my fiance. What could be better?

Editors note: Adam was so excited about The Fair he was telling his BFF Randall all about it that when it was time for me to ask him about it, he was tired of talking about it.

> Using my next scented nail polish, I am seriously obsessed... I think it is called Spun Sugar.

\\ what are you looking forward to this week?
\\ what was the best thing that you made recently?
\\ what should I try at The Fair if you have been?

Sincerely, Shelbi
