Much like the #trendingtuedsay, I wanted to start a weekly series that would allow me to document Mason's favorites during this stage... it's such a fun time and I don't want to blink because daily he is changing. This way, I will have everything together and hopefully... motherhood will be good to me and I won't for get a week! (This will probably become a monthly series, but they change so fast in the beginning)!

Eating: He is currently solely eating breastmilk. Normally straight from the source, but about once a day Adam will feed him through the bottle.

Sleeping: ALL THE TIME. Right now (the day starting at midnight), he will wake up for his first feeding around 12:00 AM and feed for around 45 minutes, sleep until about 6:00 AM then be ready for a diaper change and breakfast, sleep until around 9:00-9:15 AM then on to breakfast number 2, 12:00 PM repeat, play for about 20-30 minutes (and by play I mean, lay in his swing and look around or let his puppy sisters kiss him all over), sleep until about 4:00 PM, then eat and repeat at 7:15 PM and 9:15 PM. We have been so, so blessed. (Minus night one).

Doing: Mason spends most of his awake time blank space staring, snorting when he is hungry, doing lots of cuddling with his mom, dad and sweet visitors and feeding. ALL THE TIME FEEDING.

Wearing: He is still wearing newborn clothes, when he left the hospital he was weighing around 6 lbs. 9 oz. and then proceeded to lose about 3.5 oz. more once we got home, so the little guy can't wear much. his socks will not stay on him and his diapers swallow him whole. My favorite thing to have him wear is a long sleeve wrap around shirt and a pair of pants. It is the easiest thing to have him in for his daily use.

Biggest Milestone: I guess we hit a few this week? The biggest would probably be that he has finally grasped latching on without hesitation or getting lost. He also took his first bath, which I think was the cutest thing I have ever witnessed. He is just a tiny little thing.

Favorite Thing: He loves to be kissed, and loves to be held (especially if you pat him on his bottom).

Sweetest Thing He Does: He can be in a heavy, heavy cry and when I pick him up he will instantly calm down and nuzzle his head into my chest. He is a sweet little guy.

Favorite Part About This Age: He needs me, 100%. He is still to little to know anything, but old enough to know what he needs. He is little and simple and it doesn't take much to make him happy.

Current Items I Can't Live Without to Survive Motherhood: Oh gosh, this list could be long. I think I will have to do a separate post on that. The short list? His Boppy Lounger, Solly Baby Wrap, Kiinde bottles/bags/warmer, Aden + Anais Swaddle Blankets and the Honest and Co. Carryall Satchel.
