Where is the time going y'all? I feel like yesterday I met the love of my life and got engaged... and now, I am trying my best to keep my eyes open as wide as I can. It seems every time I close them a few more months pass and we are getting closer and closer to our wedding day.

It is 6 days until the 1st of June, you guys I am strblessed! So much has happened in the last few months and though there were and are still hard times to come, this whole having someone that will stick by you forever thing... is really nice!

I don't think we have gone a full week without rain in the last two months, last I checked this was Dallas... but maybe I forgot we up and moved to Seattle? Either way... I don't mind it... I think it has made me wiser? More wise? Maybe it should rain more.

With the start of summer, I thought it would only be right to start this thing back up again. The end of spring has been quite the transition for us. Both Adam and I have picked up new hobbies, and those have taken up much of our time. But finally, and the heat starts to rise and the showers continue to fall, I am able to slow down and catch you all up on our lives a bit.

Adam has started building farm house tables, which we will use for our wedding and will rent out after this whole, 'I do, Me too' thing is all said and done. This has by far been the most time consuming and space defining thing that he has done, with the help of my soon to be father-in-law. Though it might not be instantly gratifying when people see the tables and ask where in the world we found these... the smiles on their faces are bigger than ever. It has also been so rewarding to watch Adam find something that he truly enjoys. He has so much fun working and building new pieces and he is finding that this is something he would love to do for a life time. This is such an exciting time.

As for me, I have started calligraphy courses, I have slaved.... spent a few hours a week, drawing, creating and feeling beautiful (for some reason creating a print this fancy makes me feel beautiful... what ever it takes right?). I have done a few envelopes for invitations, created a few wall pieces and have overloaded one to many chalkboard items with my obsessive and beautifully written quotes.

Dally has decided she wants a puppy-sister or a puppy-brother... maybe she didn't tell me that exactly but, she always bolts towards the first pup she sees when we are out and about... I think she is trying to tell me something.

Our new abode has a cat, that I have eloquently named Fefe, that wanders through the yard daily and finds herself hiding on the porch to escape all of the rain. Adam unfortunately, (though he is not the only one, this marriage thing says the wife is always right so, lets start early), has a severe case of cat allergies so he says she can't come in.

On a literal high note, we are looking for a church home! So Dallas friends - let us know your opinions!

It's good to be back, friends!
Sincerely,
Shelbi and Adam
