LUCY!
You fiercely entered this world FOUR months ago. It has been so fun and exciting! Everyday we are beginning to forget more and more what this life was like before you were here.
You experienced your first Easter, Cinco De Mayo + as of tomorrow your very first Mother's Day having me as a mom.
We love everything about you!
Here is where you currently are...
Eating: You don't love to be hungry. Though I don't think any of us do... you will LET. US. KNOW. when you are hungry and NEED to be fed. You are still currently just drinking milk, we have considered giving you formula because I only make EXACTLY what you need with maybe 6 or 7 bags for extras.
Sleeping: This month was a little bit harder. You are still so, so sweet and sleeping in your crib like a big girl. But that 4 Month sleep regression peeked through the window to let us know you are still just a sweet little baby who needs a little attention every now and then. A few nights you had us walking back and forth to your room or sleeping in the chair by your bed to remind you that night time, is not play time. But we all survived with smiles on our faces.
Doing: You're giggling and showing more and more of your personality every single day. You're wanting to be held as often as possible and you are rolling from your back to your tummy while you are sleeping and while you are under your activity gym. You have started to notice your feet and you WILL NOT STOP DROOLING.
Wearing: You are wearing 0-3m or 3-6m depending on the items! You are wearing a lot of zippies or snap onsies! We are loving the Monica and Andy, Little Sleepies and Spearmint Love brands! And of course, all of the bows.
Biggest Milestone: I think that your biggest milestone this month was car rides and outings' for sure. You are liking to sleep in the car more, and are just a ball of giggles when you are out and about meeting people. (As long as it is earlier in the day, you have an early bedtime that you WILL not miss.)
Favorite Thing: I don't know if I can have just one favorite thing... I think honestly that it's watching you "play" with your brother. When you are in your walker or in your chair, he want's to be near you all the time. Helping, playing and taking care of his baby sister Lucy.
Sweetest Thing: When you get done nursing you like to look up and stare into my eyes and then you will start to make noises like you are thanking me. It is sweet, because unlike your brother - there is an approaching deadline that tugs at my hear daily knowing that these moments won't last forever. Time is a thief.
Current Items I Can't Live Without to Survive Motherhood: Little Sleepies, Sound Machine but have thought about purchasing this one for her room + This toy from Amazon, but ours is a cow (it hooks on to EVERYTHING).
I love you sweet girl, and I love how much you love us.
I will love you forever and like you for always.
XO,
Mama
