I have never been shy about my love for celebrating even the smallest holiday, birthdays are no exception to the rule and are one of those occasions that I just can't live without. I feel that the festivities are basically an excuse to make a cake and drink lots of wine. With that in mind, I wanted to embrace a little bit of the spirit that I spoke of a few weeks back with an Oreo Cream Cake (recipe here) with an Oreo Buttercream and topped it off with fresh Oreo's. It definitely doesn't look like a professional cake, but it sure does taste like a million dollars. (Mind you I made this out of town at A's parents house and there was no way to use anything but and hand mixer or the good old fashioned mixer, your hands.) As I am getting back into the hang of things and taking on a new role as a blogger I am excited for your feedback! Keep me hungry bloggosphere.
