Okay y'all so time and emotions got the best of me. I wanted to be in the moment, I wanted to take a step back... review what my game plan was... being a mama is hard. Your baby getting older is hard... but here we are, 9 months later.

I am a mother to a 9 month old chunk. He is so sweet and so special. These motherhood roles are filled with real temper tantrums, sticky fingers and messy houses. My anxiety is through the roof, my heart is bursting at its seams and I have never felt more of a purpose.

Life is so great... Except the 5% of the time when I feel like my plate is so, so full.

But as for sweet Mae, he is making my days so special. So, here is where we are this far:

Eating: I did it, I am still breastfeeding! Longer than I ever thought possible, and still pumping at the office. It is insane! But, Mason has also migrated to some homemade purees, a few baby foods but more often than not he wants whatever is on my plate. He has mastered the art of putting food in his mouth (I never realized that is something that has to be taught), and his dogs mouths. He is also eating cut up food, which he prefers over pureed these days.

Sleeping: He is still napping, and without a nap... he is a MONSTER. But, we love him anyway! He takes either one really good (2± hour nap), or two semi-good 45± minute naps. He goes to bed around 7:45-8:30 PM depending on his nap schedule, but generally we try to have him bathed and fed by 7:45 PM and getting ready in the bed by 8:00 PM with a hopeful snooze by 8:15 PM.

Doing: He is climbing on everything, chewing everything and going to start walking any day now. His current go-to chew toys... Paper, cords, shoes, phones... all of the natural and organic things, obviously.

Wearing: He is so long friends, he is in the constant state of looking like a buy him capris. 9-12 month clothing most of the time, still some 6 month clothing (onesies, shirts, shorts, blooms), but the cutest new addition... shoes. Y'all those little feet, in little shoes, make him look like a grown up.

Biggest Milestone: Standing on his own would probably be his biggest accomplishment, and for really long extended periods of time. It so cute, he will be crawling, and then grab a toy, pick it up and stand up with it. My heart can't hardly take it. Or for example... he will want you to pick him up... so he will stand up, raise his arms and wait for you to lift him up. My heart...

Favorite Thing About This Age: He makes himself laugh when he is playing, we are really focusing on self-play time. And he can be playing and playing and suddenly I look in to the living room and he will be chasing a water bottle on the floor just laughing and playing... it's the sweetest thing to see.

Current Items that I couldn't live without: His Happy Mat for sure! His Saucony Sneaks and his Sleep Sack!

Do you have a 9 month old? What is happening in your world, I would love to know!
